SurveyTerra processes account and field information to provide its Android application, website and authorized project workspaces.

Account creation and sign-in use your name, email address, password credentials and account identifiers. Optional profile information includes your phone number, profile image and workspace information. The service uses these details for authentication, access control, account support and workspace administration.
Location and survey content
When you use enabled positioning, survey collection or tracking workflows, SurveyTerra processes precise positions, project geometry, attributes and recorded trajectories. Authorized synchronization sends supported records to the SurveyTerra service. Photos, attachments and other files you choose to upload are stored for their selected project or account workflow. Permissions and compatible equipment determine which capture tools are available.
Devices and service providers
The service processes technical request information needed to operate and secure accounts and uploads. When push messaging is configured, Firebase Cloud Messaging and SurveyTerra process push tokens, device identifiers and app version for notifications. Basemap providers such as OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap and Esri receive network requests and map tile coordinates indicating the viewed area. Elevation lookups send the requested coordinates and surrounding bounds to the Microsoft Planetary Computer service to obtain terrain elevation. Enabled weather or other third-party overlays may send the viewed map location or bounds to their provider. These requests are subject to the provider's data practices.
Access and sharing
Project geometry, attributes and attachments are accessible according to server permissions, assignments and customer workspace controls. Information is used for the workflows you select, account management, synchronization, support and service security. SurveyTerra does not sell personal information. Exports or sharing actions you initiate may make selected information available to their recipients.
Offline work and security
The app may retain cached project data, preferences and pending offline work on your device. The server is authoritative for shared records and access. Clearing a device cache or uninstalling does not delete your server account. Access controls and encrypted service connections protect data; do not include passwords in support messages or deletion requests.
Retention and deletion
Requests are currently accepted for manual identity and authority review. The following account recovery and backup limits describe the selected policy; automatic scheduling, erasure and reminder emails remain unavailable while retention and restore controls are verified. The authorized handler will confirm the action and deadline before processing. Use surveyterra.com/data-deletion-request/ without installing the app or signing in to request deletion or account recovery. Identity and authority must be verified. The account choices are permanent deletion with a 10-day rethink period, or deactivation with 90 days to recover the account and data. Login is blocked during the recovery period. Verified paid commitments preserve access until the paid service end, then the selected recovery period starts, subject to applicable statutory rights. Ask the authorized handler to cancel a scheduled deletion or restore the account before the deadline; a fresh sign-in is required. Once permanent erasure starts, recovery is unavailable. Request details are erased immediately after fulfilment. Disaster-recovery backup copies may retain deleted account data for up to 30 days, solely for disaster recovery. They are not available for account recovery after permanent deletion, and restoration must not reactivate permanently erased accounts. Company-controlled survey records affecting other people remain under company control with account attribution replaced with a pseudonymous identifier; any other retention must be explained with its reason and applicable period. Removing a local cache or uninstalling does not delete the server account.
Contact and choices
You can update supported profile fields in your account, control device permissions and choose supported capture/sync workflows. Use the public Data Deletion Request form for deletion requests.
